Opportunities explored included work-based learning partnerships for Accounting, Business, IT, and Creative Multimedia programs; a collaborative bootcamp on AI applications in taxation and related fields; and CSR initiatives such as running events and blood donation drives—reflecting a shared commitment to innovation, education, and community impact.
On September 8, 2025, the inaugural AI for Good (Educator) Conference was held, bringing together educators, researchers, and innovators to explore the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing teaching and learning. The sessions highlighted practical tools, national initiatives, and global frameworks that can support educators in responsibly adopting AI.
Key highlights included interactive demonstrations such as “Guess the Doodle” by Google, AI-powered platforms for creating music (suno.com) and podcasts (notebooklm.google), and Vibe Coding (lovable.dev), which showcased creative ways of integrating AI into classrooms. UNESCO’s AI Competency Framework for Students was also introduced, emphasizing the importance of structured skills development.
The conference further shared inspiring initiatives: Universiti Putra Malaysia’s Kopi AIs discussion sessions for staff and students, the Ministry of Education’s pilot project in 27 pioneer schools testing AI-powered classrooms via DELIMa, and the upcoming release of AI guidelines with lesson plan examples for teachers and students, expected by the end of September.
Participants were also introduced to the concept of Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) AI, ensuring ethical oversight in AI use. In Track 3 (Tech-Enabled Pedagogy), Virtualtech Frontier Sdn Bhd presented a virtual chemical engineering lab developed for Xiamen University, while also demonstrating how Meta’s LLaMA (an open-source large language model) can be applied to create tools such as an AI-powered Quiz Generator.
The event provided valuable insights into how AI can be applied meaningfully in education—balancing innovation, creativity, and responsibility in shaping the future of learning.
On August 22, 2025, YPC International College conducted the Phase 2 Pemantauan for the FAIFA Project funded by the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT). The session was held at Level 10, FAIFA Room, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
During the session, students presented their project progress to the appointed evaluation panels from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Prof. Madya Dr. Mazlina and Dr. Iszan Hana. The monitoring provided valuable feedback and guidance, ensuring the project remains on track towards achieving its objectives.
On August 21, 2025, Ms. Aida and Ms. Amalina successfully completed a one-day training session organized by UPM-MTDC, titled “AI Immersion – Automate It. Analyse It. Storytell It.” The programme featured three distinguished speakers—Richard Ker (CEO, RK Digital Sdn Bhd), Adil Hidayat (Director, Pendakwah Teknologi Solutions), and Hazwan Hassan (COO, Neuramerge Sdn Bhd)—who shared valuable insights on the practical applications of AI in content creation, automation, and storytelling.
The training highlighted not only the importance of leveraging AI tools effectively but also the need to understand audiences in order to communicate impactfully. Key takeaways included the power of concise, timely content, the importance of staying updated with AI advancements, and the responsibility of practicing ethical and copyright-conscious usage of AI technologies.
This impactful session provided participants with fresh perspectives on harnessing AI smartly and responsibly, reinforcing both professional growth and digital readiness in today’s fast-evolving landscape.
On August 18, 2025, YPC International College held its official Orientation Day for newly enrolled students across the Certificate, Foundation, Diploma, and GPP programmes. The event marked the beginning of a new academic journey and was designed to provide students with a comprehensive introduction to college life, academic expectations, and the support systems available throughout their studies. The orientation served as a key platform for students to familiarise themselves with programme structures, institutional policies, and campus facilities. Participants were warmly welcomed by academic and administrative staff, including programme coordinators and student support teams, who delivered detailed briefings and guidance on essential academic and administrative procedures. To further ease the transition into higher education, the programme featured a guided campus tour, allowing students to explore lecture halls, the library, student services, and common areas. Orientation kits and learning materials were also distributed, equipping students with the tools needed for a confident and organised start to the semester. Structured to build student readiness, the Orientation Day for the June 2025 intake successfully created an engaging and supportive environment, reinforcing YPC International College’s commitment to student success, preparedness, and holistic development.
On August 15, 2025, YPC International College successfully hosted a Blood Donation Drive at Level 9, Wisma YPC, Pandan Perdana. The event was open to the public and drew strong participation from staff, students, and the surrounding community. A total of 29 successful donors came forward, with many more expressing their support even if they were unable to donate on the day. This meaningful initiative was organized in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Hartamas, Pusat Darah Negara, Red Response Integrated (RRI), KLCC Runner Group, Kita Pelari Malaysia, and Agenda Nasional Malaysia Sihat, reflecting the power of partnership in promoting community health and social responsibility. The drive not only provided a platform for saving lives—where each pint of blood collected has the potential to help up to three patients—but also strengthened the spirit of volunteerism and solidarity among participants. YPC International College extends its heartfelt gratitude to all collaborators, donors, and supporters who made the event a success.
On August 14, 2025, YPC International College representatives Ms. Aida and Ms. Amalina attended a one-day course at UPM-MTDC titled “Digitalpreneur – Creating an Online Course with AI.” The training highlighted the fundamentals of digital products, focusing on the creation and monetization of online courses using AI. Participants explored AI tools such as Ideogram for idea generation and Napkin AI for course structuring, while also being introduced to DigyLearn and DigyPrime as platforms for managing digital learning content. A hands-on session guided participants through developing an online course in DigyLearn, generating interactive content, and designing dynamic learner experiences through engaging navigation features.
On August 12, 2025, Ms. Mariam and Ms. Azmina visited YYC Tax Consultants Sdn. Bhd. in Pudu, where Tan Chia Min is interning in the transfer pricing tax department. She assists in preparing transfer pricing documentation and has participated in client meetings. Supervisor Ms. Carmen Khoo expressed satisfaction with her work ethic, adaptability, and initiative, highlighting her positive contribution to the team.
On August 12, 2025, Ms. Mariam and Ms. Azmina visited Ørsted Malaysia, where Rosita is interning in accounts payable and bank cadency. She has quickly adapted to the company’s systems and contributes actively in a multinational environment. Manager Mr. Mursyid and buddy Mr. Hisam commended her eagerness to learn and shared that she has exceeded expectations, making a strong impression as the first YPC intern at Ørsted.
On August 12, 2025, Ms. Mariam and Ms. Azmina visited audit associate intern Sow Chen Hou at Baker Tilly Malaysia in Bangsar. His responsibilities include preparing audit working papers, performing substantive testing, and assisting with audit documentation. Manager Mr. Phoon Kai Chee praised his strong communication skills, proactive approach, and ability to work independently, noting a high possibility of a permanent role after the internship.
On August 9, 2025, students from the BMC programme successfully organised a Project Kemasyarakatan E-Sports Tournament in collaboration with the YPC International College E-Sports Club, drawing a total of 40 participants and 60 attendees from both the college community and the public. Held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the event supported Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by promoting awareness of career opportunities in the growing e-sports industry. The students showcased commendable skills in networking, event management, and organisation, with the success of the tournament made possible through the encouragement and support of Datuk, Datin, Dr. Farrah, Dr. Gan, Ms. Azmiera, and all staff and lecturers.

On August 7, 2025, YPC International College representative Ms. Aida attended the MBOT Symposium, which highlighted the benefits of accrediting IT-related programmes through the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) for both local and international recognition via the Seoul Accord. The event featured insights from Dell Malaysia on talent acquisition through hackathons, government emphasis on healthcare innovation in line with the 13th Malaysia Plan, and UTeM’s initiatives such as the Kampung Angkat programme and industry-aligned curriculum developed with Alibaba, all aimed at strengthening graduate employability and Malaysia’s competitiveness in the digital economy.
On August 7, 2025, YPC International College representatives Ms. Amylia, Ms. Shamhini, and Ms. Fatihah conducted a virtual Industrial Training Visit to our BEM student at Sutra Adv Group, coordinated by the appointed visit coordinator to review training progress, provide guidance, and strengthen engagement between the college, student, and industry partner.
On August 7, 2025, YPC International College representatives; Ms. Amylia, Ms. Shamhini, and Ms. Fatihah, conducted an internship visit to BEM student Irene at Rev Media Group, located in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. The visit began with an introduction to the company’s background, followed by a briefing on Irene’s daily responsibilities, which include mastering digital marketing, understanding artificial intelligence (AI), performing data cleaning, and analyzing digital data. It was also highlighted that Rev Media Group operates under Media Prima Berhad as part of its media platform network.
During the session, Lead Strategy Planner Ms. Iylia Aziz shared positive feedback on Irene’s adaptability and performance in a fast-paced environment within the Strategy Team. Her supervisor, Ms. Ned, further commended her initiative, as well as her improvement in time management and multitasking skills, noting their positive impact on team progress. The visit confirmed that Irene is thriving in a conducive learning environment, gaining valuable industry exposure and professional skills.
On August 7, 2025, YPC International College representatives; Ms. Siti, Ms. Jaya, Ms. Rina, and Dr. Gan attended the Hari Mesra Pelanggan MQA at Mercu MQA. The session provided valuable insights and clarifications on programme accreditation, audits, good practices, and quality assurance. Attendees also had the opportunity to engage directly with MQA officers, addressing queries and exchanging feedback on key academic matters. A comprehensive report summarizing the feedback and discussions will be compiled and shared with all stakeholders. On August 4, 2025, YPC International College was honoured to be part of the Program Pembangunan dan Pemantapan Kepimpinan Bersama IPTS (MyLEADER) 2025, held at Dewan Za’ba, Ministry of Higher Education, Putrajaya. Representing the college was CEO Dr. Farrah, who joined fellow leaders from private higher education institutions across the country in this leadership development initiative organised by the Department of Higher Education. The programme was officiated by YBhg. Datuk Professor Dr. Azlinda Azman, Director General of Higher Education, and was broadcasted live on the Ministry’s official Facebook page. MyLEADER aims to strengthen institutional governance, enhance education quality assurance, and foster graduates who are competitive and market-ready. It also serves to reinforce collaboration between academia and industry, while raising awareness of government policies, legal compliance, and available incentives for IPTS.
On August 4, 2025, YPC International College conducted an internship visit to Carsome HQ at KYM Tower, Mutiara Damansara, to meet BSBM student Krishdave Singh. The visit, led by Ms. Azmiera and Ms. Fatihah, served as a meaningful opportunity to connect with industry partners and observe the student’s professional progress. During the visit, the team was introduced to Carsome’s regional operations and gained insight into Krishdave’s daily responsibilities, which include liaising with internal departments and external financial institutions such as CIMB and Maybank. Positive feedback was shared by Mr. Shaarnaz, Head of Department, who commended Krishdave’s strong communication skills and interdepartmental collaboration. His mentor, Ms. Athirah from the Treasury Department, also praised his punctuality and attention to detail. The team also had the privilege of meeting Mr. Eric Cheng, Co-founder and CEO of Carsome. Carsome expressed interest in exploring future collaborations with YPC International College, particularly in areas related to business and industry engagement. The college values this partnership and looks forward to fostering stronger ties with leading industry players to enhance student learning and career readiness.
On August 6, 2025, students from the BAF programme at YPC International College successfully organized an inter-university badminton tournament at Sunlight Badminton Hall. The event, held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., was part of their Projek Kemasyarakatan initiative and aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being. The tournament brought together 40 participants from 12 universities and colleges, with approximately 100 individuals involved—including students, staff, volunteers, and supporters. The event was a true testament to the students’ teamwork, leadership, and networking capabilities. Backed by generous sponsorship from organisations such as Pusat Khidmat Rakyat Parlimen Pandan, Angkatan Muda Keadilan Pandan, Persatuan Belia Selangor, and companies including Decathlon, Hundred Malaysia, Aik Cheong, and more, the tournament was made possible through various contributions—ranging from cash support and sponsored items to manpower and logistics. On July 30, 2025, YPC lecturers Ms. Afini and Ms. Syamimi attended the “Beyond the Basics: AI for Education” workshop, which introduced educators to cutting-edge Google AI and Workspace tools designed to enhance teaching and learning. The workshop featured practical sessions using tools such as Gemini, NotebookLM, Google Vids, and Google Classroom. Participants explored how AI can support lesson planning, streamline collaboration, and create engaging educational content. A hands-on activity using Google Vids demonstrated the potential of AI-generated videos in the classroom, powered by Google’s advanced Veo 3 model. In the afternoon, students engaged in an interactive Escape Room activity titled Money Matters, held at the Auditorium, Level 10, focusing on teamwork and financial literacy. Throughout the day, TikTok Live sessions and an Open Mic provided a platform for students to express their talents and connect with peers. The Klinik Intervensi initiative emphasises the importance of community well-being by addressing physical, mental, and emotional health challenges through sustainable, student-led solutions. Throughout the session, each team showcased its proposed interventions before a panel of evaluators, comprising academic experts, industry practitioners, and community stakeholders. Pitching Day aimed to strengthen students’ entrepreneurial mindset, communication skills, and social responsibility by immersing them in a real-world problem-solving environment. The event also served to highlight the role of education in fostering civic engagement and practical innovation. Held from 7:30 AM to 1:20 PM at the Level 10 Auditorium, the session brought together students from 39 schools across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, creating a vibrant learning environment filled with academic enthusiasm and collaboration. The programme aimed to give students a deeper understanding of question trends, marking schemes, and effective strategies to tackle high-level Biology questions. Led by experienced educators and subject specialists, the session featured detailed walkthroughs of past year questions, step-by-step answering techniques, and tips to avoid common mistakes — all tailored to meet the latest SPM 2025 format. In addition to the academic focus, the event offered students the chance to engage with peers from different schools, exchange learning experiences, and boost their motivation before the national examination. The professional yet supportive atmosphere encouraged active participation, critical thinking, and confidence-building among attendees. Embracing the traditional theme of "Melayu Klasik," the event encouraged attendees to dress in classic Malay attire and participate in an afternoon filled with heritage, joy, and meaningful connections. Held from 1.30 PM to 5.00 PM at Level 9, the event featured various engaging activities, including traditional performances, a LIMITED Lucky Draw, and interactive cultural experiences. Guests had the opportunity to socialize with peers and faculty members in a festive atmosphere, capture memorable moments at themed photo spots, and enjoy a diverse spread of traditional food and refreshments. In addition to the cultural highlights, the event included a birthday celebration for students and staff born in March and April, complete with cake and lively cheer to recognize and appreciate their special day. Students also visited the Public Bank booth, where those who opened a new account received a mystery gift, offering a practical and rewarding engagement with financial services. On April 21, 2025, YPC International College conducted its official Orientation Day for newly enrolled students across the Foundation, Diploma, Degree, and GPP programmes. On April 16, 2025, UK-MUC Transnational Competition event has been carried out, a prestigious event that brought together final-year undergraduate students from UK-MUC member and associate member institutions across the UK and Malaysia. On March 20, 2025, an ACCA representative visited YPC International College to brief accounting and finance students on the ACCA Accelerate Program. The session aimed to introduce students to the benefits of starting their ACCA qualification early, outline the pathway to ACCA membership, and highlight career opportunities available through the program. This visit provided students with valuable insights on how to fast-track their careers in accounting and finance.
On March 6, 2025, students and staff from YPC International College attended the Programme Empowerher Digital at Hab PKS, Aras 4B SME Corp. Malaysia, organized under the Ministry of Digital Malaysia in collaboration with the MPAJ Zone 21 Residents Committee to celebrate International Women's Day. The event, attended by YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, the Minister of Digital, focused on digital systems in business. It featured booths from companies like Shopee, Tiktok Shop, Rayhanah Group, and others, showcasing various business services. Additionally, three successful women entrepreneurs, Ms. Leong Wei Yun, Ms. Amutha Subramaniam, and Puan Nur Adila Binti Mansor, shared their business journeys. Four workshops were also held, led by experts from Shopee, CGC Digital, Pixlr, and Tiktok Shop, focusing on strategies for marketing products, managing sales, loans, and advertising on trending platforms.
During the Walkabout event with the Police & MPAJ Zone 21 Committee, several agencies, including the Fire Department (Bomba) and the National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK), participated in fostering community awareness and safety. Following the event, Mr. Afiq (Head of AADK Hulu Langat District) discussed potential collaborations with Datuk, offering AADK’s support for drug awareness and prevention programs at YPC International College. As a result, a networking meeting was immediately arranged between YPC counselors and the AADK team. This casual session introduced officers, with Mr. Afiq detailing AADK’s roles and available services, emphasizing their commitment to combating drug-related issues. The AADK team encouraged YPC to invite them for educational initiatives, such as awareness talks and anti-drug campaigns, and extended an invitation for staff and students to join the "Squad Anti-Dadah" (Anti-Drug Squad). To further reinforce this collaboration, official posters and flyers were provided for campus-wide distribution. The program aimed to enhance drug awareness, strengthen preventive measures within the community, and build a proactive partnership between AADK and YPC in promoting a drug-free environment.
The Walkabout Program, organized by JKP MPAJ Zone 21 in collaboration with the Ampang District Police (IPD Ampang), took place on Thursday, February 27, 2025, around YPC International College from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. This initiative brought together various MPAJ departments, including Licensing & Entrepreneurship, Building & Architecture, Enforcement, and Urban Cleaning & Public Health, alongside government agencies such as AADK and several NGOs, including KRT Taman Pandan Perdana, KRT Pandan Perdana Phase 2, Surau Al Mutmainnah, and the Pandan Perdana Morning Market Association. The program aimed to enhance community safety, promote awareness on public health and local regulations, and strengthen collaboration between authorities, organizations, and the public to create a safer and more harmonious environment.
On 26 February 2025, the Department of Higher Education (JPT) held a Consultation Day Program focused on the renewal registration of Private Higher Education Institutions (IPTS) for the upcoming year. More than 60 private colleges and universities participated in the event. This initiative aimed to provide comprehensive briefings and consultations regarding the processes for renewing registration certificates for IPTS, which are set to expire in 2026. The event was officiated by YBhg Datuk Prof. Dr. Azlinda Azman, the Director-General of Higher Education.
The FAIFA Bootcamp 2025, held from February 19 to 21, 2025, featured a variety of engaging activities, including Music Appreciation, Art Relay – Education for a Creative Future, Resume Creation, Transforming Education Through Technology, Scammer & IT Awareness, and Mental Health Awareness. The event aimed to enhance creativity for participants, foster digital literacy, promote career readiness, and raise awareness on cybersecurity and mental well-being. The bootcamp concluded with a closing ceremony on February 21, 2025, which also marked the official launch of CLC FAIFA, further reinforcing its commitment to holistic education and skill development.
On February 21, 2025, the Chinese Cultural Society organized a vibrant Chinese New Year Celebration at YPC International College, bringing together students and staff for a day of cultural appreciation and festivity. The event began with a lunch session, followed by an inspiring speech from Datuk and a series of captivating performances, including Wushu, Cup Performance, Mini Games, Traditional Dances (Elegant Seven & Celestial Chimes), Modern Dance, Staff Performance, Fashion Show, Singing, and a Choir Session. A special birthday ceremony was also held to celebrate those born in January and February, adding a personal touch to the occasion. The event concluded with an exciting lucky draw session, leaving attendees with lasting memories. The celebration aimed to promote cultural exchange, strengthen community bonds, and foster appreciation for Chinese traditions while encouraging student engagement and inclusivity.
On 23rd January 2025, the Pongal celebration was organized by the ICS club at YPC International College. Heartfelt gratitude is extended to everyone whose support and contributions helped make the event such a success. Students and staff of YPC International College participated in various activities, including a Pongal cooking competition, kolam art competition, sugar cane eating competition, rice ball eating competition, and musical chairs. The word "Pongal," which translates to “overflowing” in Tamil, symbolizes abundance, prosperity, and the bountiful harvest that sustains life.
On January 6, 2025, YPC International College welcomed its new intake of foundation, diploma, and GPP students with a comprehensive orientation program. The event aimed to familiarize students with campus updates and highlights, provide an overview of class rules, and offer a detailed campus tour. The final presentation for DCM was successfully completed on November 25, marking the culmination of the students' hard work and dedication throughout the course. The objective of this presentation was to showcase the students' understanding and application of key concepts, as well as to demonstrate their ability to execute and present their projects in a professional manner. This event served as an opportunity for both students and faculty to reflect on the progress made and to engage in constructive discussions about the innovative solutions and ideas presented.
On November 16, we hosted an exciting and competitive badminton tournament that brought together participants from YPC International College students, alumni and staff to showcase their athleticism and sportsmanship. The objective of the tournament was to foster teamwork, encourage physical fitness, and provide a platform for friendly yet competitive engagement among all participants. On 14 November 2024, Dr. Loke, Ms. Fadhilah, and a group of BSBM and BAF students visited YYC Group, an accounting firm, for an insightful and interactive learning experience. The objective of the visit was to provide students with a deeper understanding of the accounting profession and enhance their career preparedness. The visit included presentations from three speakers who shared their expertise in audit, tax, and accounting, fostering meaningful interaction with the students. In addition to these sessions, the students participated in activities such as learning key interview tips, completing a DISC Personality Test, and receiving personalized feedback from a certified psychologist. They also had the opportunity to explore the firm’s working environment, receive one-on-one resume feedback, and enjoy an excellent lunch. On 6 November 2024, YPC International College hosted an HPV Vaccination program with the objective of promoting health awareness and providing students with access to preventive healthcare. The program aimed to educate participants about the importance of HPV vaccination in preventing cervical cancer and other HPV-related diseases. It also provided students with the opportunity to receive the HPV vaccine on-site. The event featured informative sessions about the risks of HPV, the benefits of vaccination, and the overall impact on public health. The initiative was part of the college’s commitment to supporting student well-being and empowering them with knowledge and resources to make informed health decisions.

The Deloitte Audit Business Challenge 2024 was held on 20th Sept 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in Lab F. The test was comprised of 50 online multiple-choice questions that covered areas such as auditing, accounting, ethics, finance, the Companies Act 2016, and ESG, all of which were to be answered in 60 minutes. Four teams participated in the test and they managed to enter Stage 2. It is hoped that this competition will enhance the students' skills and prove valuable to prospective employers in the future.
The Mid-Autumn Festival 2024, themed "月亮代表娥的心" (The Moon Represents the Heart of Chang’E), celebration was organized by the Chinese Cultural Society (CCS) on September 19th, 2024, Thursday. This enchanting festival highlights the importance of the full moon, symbolizing love and longing. All YPC International College students and staff enjoyed a vibrant celebration featuring traditional mooncakes, a mooncake workshop, cultural performances, and a lantern festival that reflect the rich heritage of this cherished occasion.
The "Contours in Motion" workshop was held during Skill Development Week with the aim to explore the intersection of visual art and physical expression. Its objectives included promoting creativity, enhancing participants' understanding of movement in art, and encouraging collaboration among YPC International College students. On September 11, 2024, students participated in a Skill Development Week - Field Trip to Inspidea, which was designed to provide them with practical exposure and insights into the industry. The event aimed to give students hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of real-world applications of their skills, enhance their abilities by showcasing the latest trends and technologies for 2d animation, and offer valuable networking opportunities with professionals from Inspidea. The trip also allowed students to observe industry practices and company culture, ultimately serving as an inspiration and motivation for their future careers by bridging the gap between academic learning and practical application.
Ambassador Dr. Favour J. Okaboro, Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Delta State on Morals and Diaspora Affairs, visited YPC International College on September 4, 2024. During her visit, she engaged with the college community to explore opportunities for international student to gain UK Degree at YPC International College. Her discussions highlighted the importance of global collaboration and international education. The visit was an enriching experience, reinforcing the college's commitment to expanding its international network and supporting student development.
As the final activity of the YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024, a Reflection and Sharing Session was held, providing participants with an opportunity to discuss their experiences and insights from the program. This session allowed students to reflect on their learning journey, share their personal growth and key takeaways, and offer feedback on the various activities. The event concluded with a prize ceremony, where awards were presented for the best vlogs created during the summer school. These awards celebrated the participants' creativity and their contributions to enhancing SDG skills. Overall, the program successfully advanced skills in the following areas:

In conjunction with the YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024, a visit to SMK Taman Tasik was held. The event commenced with the arrival of guests, followed by the singing of "Negaraku" and the Selangor state anthem. The opening ceremony included speeches by the school principal and representatives from YPC, a prayer, and a multimedia presentation. The event featured performances by PPKI, including silat, traditional Malay dance, Indian dance, and the Bamboo dance. Participants also had the opportunity to learn how to make tosei. The day concluded with a photo session and a visit to various booths, providing a rich and engaging cultural experience for all YPC and LJMU students.
Lastly, for the YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024 22 August 2024 educational trip, students visited the Wishing Tree and Redang Beach. The objective of the trip was to explore local cultural and natural landmarks, enriching students' appreciation of the region's unique heritage and landscapes. The visit offered YPC and LJMU students a chance to engage with local traditions and enjoy the scenic beauty of Sekinchan, contributing to a broader understanding of the area's cultural and environmental significance.
Highlight of the day for Sekinchan educational trip to Sekinchan, YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024, students toured Loji Pengeluaran Benih Padi Haji Md Nor Bin Haji Abd Rahman (M) Sdn Bhd. The primary objective of this visit was to provide students with direct exposure to the rice seed production process, the latest technologies in agriculture, and the management and operational aspects of the factory. Additionally, the visit aimed to enhance YPC and LJMU students' understanding of the vital role agriculture plays in the national economy.
On August 22, as part of the YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024 activities, students embarked on a visit to a major rice producing village at the outskirts of Selangor. The first stop was the Paddy Gallery, where participants explored the rice farming industry and its significance in the region. Another interesting activity as part of the YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024 was an engaging International Business Project unfolded in several dynamic stages. In Stage 1, students from YPC International College tackled the task of selecting a Malaysian brand and presenting a detailed SWOT analysis. In Stage 2, LJMU International students chose a product they planned to purchase and explained their rationale behind the choice. Stage 3 saw these students identifying a comparable product line from a UK brand that matched the Malaysian product line presented by their YPC counterparts. Finally, in Stage 4, YPC International College students researched UK brands offering similar products to those of the Malaysian company they had initially analyzed. This multi-stage project provided a rich, comparative exploration of international business strategies and brand analysis. This is a golden opportunity for YPC and LJMU students which can developed global networks for future works and business endeavor.
On 21 August 2024, as part of the YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024, a visit to Victoria Institution began with an opening ceremony that featured a welcome speech, a corporate video presentation, an overview of the Malaysian education system, and a brief history of the school. Participants then embarked on a guided tour of the school in groups, led by VI students. The group later gathered at the Form 6 Block for a series of engaging cultural activities, including explorations of local cuisine, art, language, music, and traditional games. The visit concluded with a memorable closing ceremony, which featured a vibrant dance performance and a sumptuous feast, providing a fitting end to a day filled with cultural exchange and learning. Additionally, Form 6 students from Victoria Institution showcased their projects, and YPC and LJMU students had the opportunity to eat Durian, known as the King of Fruits, and experience English language teaching. International students found the teaching method particularly interesting and appreciated its unique approach.
Participants gathered at SMK Maxwell for a memorable visit as part of the YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024. The event began with the arrival of the LJMU participants, followed by the singing of the national anthem, "Negaraku," "Maju Sejahtera," and the school song, as well as a prayer reading and a welcoming dance. The day continued with a series of engaging activities, including cultural dance performances such as Tarian Zapin, where students had the chance to learn the dance, East Malaysian dance, a game of Galah Panjang, and a showcase of PSV (Visual Arts). The visit concluded with a relaxing Teh Tarik session, providing YPC and LJMU students with an opportunity for informal interactions and reflections on the day's experiences.
The Majlis Jalinan Budaya SMK Taman Seraya, held in conjunction with the YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024, commenced with an opening ceremony. The event featured a range of activities, including silat, speeches by the school principal and the YPC principal, and the exchange of souvenirs. Highlights of the event focused on Batik Canting and Sustainability in Education. The program also showcased a Malaysian cultural performance that included Malay Zapin Johor, Chinese Fan Dance, Chinese Lion Dance, Indian Stick Dance (Dandiya), and Silat. YPC and LJMU students enjoyed tastings of various Malaysian favorite dishes such as satay, mooncake, masak lemak, and dodol. Traditional games like congkak and "baling selipar" were also played.
Last activity for first day for the YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024, participants embarked on a fascinating cultural visit to explore Complex Craft, delving into the intricate world of traditional and contemporary craftsmanship. This visit included an interactive activity where attendees engaged in copper tooling, creating custom designs of iconic landmarks such as KLCC and the YPC International College logo as mementos. This hands-on experience allowed YPC and LJMU students to witness the meticulous techniques of copper tooling while crafting personalized souvenirs that celebrated their summer school journey. A Surplus Collection and Distribution event was conducted under Community Project. The event involved 10 BEM students and 2 supervisors, and was carried out in collaboration with Kechara. A briefing and mini tour at Kechara Food Bank in Setapak Jaya were provided. Surplus was collected from Lotus Bukit Puchong, Aeon Wangsa Maju, and QL Kitchen Sdn Bhd, and was distributed to registered homes and societies under Kechara, including Pertubuhan Kebajikan Thangam Ilham, Second Chance Shelter Home, Pertubuhan Kesihatan dan Kebajikan Umum Malaysia, and Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak WP. The surplus was given to homeless individuals, children, and elderly people who are in need of additional community support.

On Saturday, 20th July 2024, students from YPC International College embarked on a field trip to Zoo Negara with children from the Baitus Sakinah Hidayah orphanage. The primary objectives of this trip were to improve social skills and foster a love for animals among the participants. Throughout the day, students and children alike engaged in various activities designed to encourage interaction and cooperation. By exploring the diverse animal exhibits together, they had the opportunity to learn about wildlife and conservation, which was intended to deepen their appreciation for the natural world. The experience also aimed to enhance the participants' social skills through shared experiences and collaborative learning. YPC International College students chose to deliver a presentation on AI, focusing on three key areas: the evolution of AI and its global impact, AI tools, and ethical considerations for AI users. The aim of this project is to raise awareness among school students about AI. This project involved 66 students from Form 4 and 9 students from BEM. During the presentation, students engaged in activities such as Word Search, comparing AI-generated images with original images to find similarities and brainstorming sessions.

On Saturday, 29th June 2024, students visited the Orphanage Rainbow Home in Cheras. During the visit, the students successfully arranged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Marryyap Delicious Kitchen and GC Hair Study. Under the terms of the agreement, both companies committed to providing monthly sponsorships to Rainbow Home Orphanage for one year. This partnership aims to support the orphanage with consistent resources, contributing to the well-being and development of the children residing there.

Additionally, the event aimed to support charitable causes by raising funds to reinforce our commitment to social responsibility and community support. From spectacular Lion Dances to thrilling drama performances, captivating singing, and exciting lucky draws, our students truly showcased their incredible talents and left everyone amazed. A highlight of the evening was a surprise singing performance by Datuk Dr. Noel, which added an extra touch of magic to the event. We are delighted to share that we raised RM1750.88 for charity, thanks to the generous support of everyone who purchased tickets and contributed to the success of the event. Your participation made a significant difference, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to all who supported this meaningful cause.
