On January 6, 2025, YPC International College welcomed its new intake of foundation, diploma, and GPP students with a comprehensive orientation program. The event aimed to familiarize students with campus updates and highlights, provide an overview of class rules, and offer a detailed campus tour. Students were also given a briefing on library services, a welcome note from the principal, and an introduction to the GPP program. Additionally, an informative session was held with the ISO officer to guide international students through relevant procedures and support services.

The Mixed Reality Prototype Showcase took place at YPC International College on December 20, 2024, providing an exciting platform for students to demonstrate their innovative projects. Students showcased a range of cutting-edge mixed reality prototypes, highlighting their creativity and technical skills in integrating virtual and augmented reality technologies. The event attracted faculty, staff, and guests, who were impressed by the students' ingenuity and the potential applications of their prototypes. It was a remarkable event, fostering a deeper appreciation for the future of immersive technologies and their role in education and industry.
The YPC Accounting Symposium, held at YPC International College on December 18, 2024, featured student presentations alongside insights from industry experts. Students showcased their research and knowledge on various accounting topics, demonstrating their academic achievements and practical understanding of the field. The event provided an excellent platform for students to engage with professionals, ask questions, and deepen their understanding of emerging trends in accounting. The symposium proved to be a valuable learning experience, fostering both academic and professional development for all participants.
The Christmas Carols event at YPC International College took place on December 12, 2024, bringing holiday cheer to the college community. Students, faculty, and staff gathered to enjoy a festive evening filled with traditional carols, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere. The event featured lively performances that showcased the talents of students, spreading the spirit of Christmas and fostering a sense of unity and celebration. It was a memorable occasion, marking the end of the semester with holiday joy and creating lasting memories for all who attended.
The final presentation for DCM was successfully completed on November 25, marking the culmination of the students' hard work and dedication throughout the course. The objective of this presentation was to showcase the students' understanding and application of key concepts, as well as to demonstrate their ability to execute and present their projects in a professional manner. This event served as an opportunity for both students and faculty to reflect on the progress made and to engage in constructive discussions about the innovative solutions and ideas presented.
On November 16, we hosted an exciting and competitive badminton tournament that brought together participants from YPC International College students, alumni and staff to showcase their athleticism and sportsmanship. The objective of the tournament was to foster teamwork, encourage physical fitness, and provide a platform for friendly yet competitive engagement among all participants. It was an enjoyable event that highlighted both individual and team achievements, and it helped strengthen the spirit of camaraderie within the community.

On 14 November 2024, Dr. Loke, Ms. Fadhilah, and a group of BSBM and BAF students visited YYC Group, an accounting firm, for an insightful and interactive learning experience. The objective of the visit was to provide students with a deeper understanding of the accounting profession and enhance their career preparedness. The visit included presentations from three speakers who shared their expertise in audit, tax, and accounting, fostering meaningful interaction with the students. In addition to these sessions, the students participated in activities such as learning key interview tips, completing a DISC Personality Test, and receiving personalized feedback from a certified psychologist. They also had the opportunity to explore the firm’s working environment, receive one-on-one resume feedback, and enjoy an excellent lunch. Overall, the visit provided valuable practical insights and professional development for the students.

YPC International College celebrated Deepavali on 7th November 2024 with a vibrant event featuring performances by both students and lecturers. The celebration included traditional music, dance, and cultural acts, showcasing the talents of the college community. The occasion highlighted the significance of the Festival of Lights while fostering unity and a sense of togetherness among students and faculty. It was an evening filled with festive cheer, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Deepavali and creating lasting memories for all involved.
On 6 November 2024, YPC International College hosted an HPV Vaccination program with the objective of promoting health awareness and providing students with access to preventive healthcare. The program aimed to educate participants about the importance of HPV vaccination in preventing cervical cancer and other HPV-related diseases. It also provided students with the opportunity to receive the HPV vaccine on-site. The event featured informative sessions about the risks of HPV, the benefits of vaccination, and the overall impact on public health. The initiative was part of the college’s commitment to supporting student well-being and empowering them with knowledge and resources to make informed health decisions.
The international networking event, held on Friday, 25th October 2024, brought together students from YPC International College (Malaysia), Liverpool John Moores University (UK), and universities in Armenia. Hosted by Dr. Farrah Robert (YPC), Dr. Amanda Mason (LJMU), Eszter Gedeon (Université Bretagne Sud), and Dr. Liana Vardanyan (PAARA), the event aimed to provide students with the opportunity to connect, share experiences, and build international networks. The session was designed to foster collaboration, cultural exchange, and professional development. Participants received preparatory materials and joining instructions upon registration, and the event successfully facilitated valuable interactions among students from diverse backgrounds, promoting global networking and future academic or career opportunities.

A heartfelt thanks to our dedicated team members from different programmes who came together to create something truly innovative and valuable: Dr Farrah Robert, Dr Gan Yu Shin, Muhd Na'im Fikri, Yong Ming, Aisyah Suhaimi & Yik Siang. We are especially proud that this success is the result of a collective effort from both lecturers and students. We are also thrilled to share that the YPC AI Chatbot Tutor project will not just remain an idea - it will be fully launched in March 2025, starting within YPC and then expanding to the public.

We are excited to share that YPC International College student, Mavin Kumar A/L Mathiyalagan from BMC has emerged as the winner of the World Mental Health Day video competition organized by Asia Innovative Healthcare Network (AIHN), a foundation of Digital A Plus Healthcare Sdn Bhd., commited to making a positive impact through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Their video with the title, Reach Out stood out among numerous entries, was inspiring and showcased their creativity.
Datuk Dr. Noel Robert was invited to attend the Yangon, Myanmar education fair, from October 11 to October 15, 2024. During his visit, he explored the significant potential for recruiting students from Myanmar, engaging with prospective students and educational partners. The event provided valuable insights into the growing interest in international education, and Dr. Robert’s participation highlighted the opportunities for YPC International College to expand its reach and attract talented students from the region. The visit proved to be a fruitful step toward strengthening the college's international student recruitment efforts.
On 10 October 2024, an educational trip to Ajinomoto (M) Berhad was held. It was a very informative and fun session for the YPC International College students. They had the opportunity to learn about the company's sustainable practices and production processes, which gave them valuable insights into real-world business operations. The students were highly engaged throughout the visit and enjoyed the hands-on experience.
We were pleased to share that the event "Karnival Baca Perdana 2024," organized by Perpustakaan Negara Malaysia, was a resounding success! YPC International College students and librarians had the opportunity to engage in insightful discussions focused on writing and publishing in today’s landscape.
Moreover, students and librarians were introduced to a variety of local educational publishers, showcasing the rich resources available in Malaysia. It was an informative experience that broadened their understanding of the publishing industry.

The Adventure Club hiking activity, held on September 29, 2024, at Denai Tiga Puteri in Kota Damansara, involved one lecturer, Ms. Andik, and two students, Wai Yu and Navenesh, for a half-day trip from 9 AM to 1:30 PM, covering a total distance of 6.6 km across several moderate trails. The event aimed to promote physical fitness, foster team building, enhance outdoor skills, and increase environmental awareness while providing participants with health benefits, social connections, and a sense of accomplishment.

Voice of YPC, a key event held during the Soft Skills Development Week, which aimed to foster talent, and confidence among YPC International College students to enhance their overall soft skills development. The event focused on developing students' confidence through participation in a competition, encouraging talent and stage presence while providing a platform for students to showcase their singing talents and receive constructive feedback.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between YYC and YPC, signed on 20th September 2024, outlines a collaborative agreement aimed at enhancing strategic partnerships, fostering innovation, and promoting mutual growth through joint initiatives in various sectors, while ensuring long-term sustainable development and shared success.
The alumni sharing event by YPC alumni provided an opportunity for former students to reflect on their experiences and share insights with current students, aiming to inspire and guide them in their academic and professional journeys. The objectives included enhancing networking opportunities, fostering a sense of community, and offering valuable advice on navigating challenges in their studies and career. This event benefited YPC International College students by facilitating mentorship, boosting motivation, and encouraging a connection between past and present students.
The Deloitte Audit Business Challenge 2024 was held on 20th Sept 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in Lab F. The test was comprised of 50 online multiple-choice questions that covered areas such as auditing, accounting, ethics, finance, the Companies Act 2016, and ESG, all of which were to be answered in 60 minutes. Four teams participated in the test and they managed to enter Stage 2. It is hoped that this competition will enhance the students' skills and prove valuable to prospective employers in the future.
The Mid-Autumn Festival 2024, themed "月亮代表娥的心" (The Moon Represents the Heart of Chang’E), celebration was organized by the Chinese Cultural Society (CCS) on September 19th, 2024, Thursday. This enchanting festival highlights the importance of the full moon, symbolizing love and longing. All YPC International College students and staff enjoyed a vibrant celebration featuring traditional mooncakes, a mooncake workshop, cultural performances, and a lantern festival that reflect the rich heritage of this cherished occasion.
The "Contours in Motion" workshop was held during Skill Development Week with the aim to explore the intersection of visual art and physical expression. Its objectives included promoting creativity, enhancing participants' understanding of movement in art, and encouraging collaboration among YPC International College students. This event provided advantages such as fostering artistic innovation, inspiring students to experiment with their own creative practices, and creating a vibrant community where diverse perspectives on art and motion could be shared, ultimately enriching the cultural landscape.
The computer component workshop for YPC International College students, conducted by Ms. Aminah and Dr. Javad, aimed to enhance students' understanding of computer hardware and improve their technical skills. The objectives included providing hands-on experience with various components, fostering critical problem-solving abilities, and encouraging collaboration among participants. This workshop offered significant advantages, such as boosting YPC International College students' confidence in handling hardware, preparing them for future technical challenges, and creating a supportive learning environment that facilitated knowledge sharing and skill development.
On September 11, 2024, students participated in a Skill Development Week - Field Trip to Inspidea, which was designed to provide them with practical exposure and insights into the industry. The event aimed to give students hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of real-world applications of their skills, enhance their abilities by showcasing the latest trends and technologies for 2d animation, and offer valuable networking opportunities with professionals from Inspidea. The trip also allowed students to observe industry practices and company culture, ultimately serving as an inspiration and motivation for their future careers by bridging the gap between academic learning and practical application.
Ambassador Dr. Favour J. Okaboro, Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Delta State on Morals and Diaspora Affairs, visited YPC International College on September 4, 2024. During her visit, she engaged with the college community to explore opportunities for international student to gain UK Degree at YPC International College. Her discussions highlighted the importance of global collaboration and international education. The visit was an enriching experience, reinforcing the college's commitment to expanding its international network and supporting student development.
As the final activity of the YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024, a Reflection and Sharing Session was held, providing participants with an opportunity to discuss their experiences and insights from the program. This session allowed students to reflect on their learning journey, share their personal growth and key takeaways, and offer feedback on the various activities. The event concluded with a prize ceremony, where awards were presented for the best vlogs created during the summer school. These awards celebrated the participants' creativity and their contributions to enhancing SDG skills. Overall, the program successfully advanced skills in the following areas:
SDG 2. Zero Hunger: Supporting local farmers by purchasing food at farmers' markets.
SDG 3. Good Health and Well-Being: Making time for yourself and friends.
SDG 4. Quality Education: Sharing skills with those in need, providing food at schools to increase attendance, and extending education beyond the classroom by keeping it engaging through activities like visits to planetariums or museums.

The ceremony marked a memorable conclusion to the program for YPC and LJMU students.
In conjunction with the YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024, a visit to SMK Taman Tasik was held. The event commenced with the arrival of guests, followed by the singing of "Negaraku" and the Selangor state anthem. The opening ceremony included speeches by the school principal and representatives from YPC, a prayer, and a multimedia presentation. The event featured performances by PPKI, including silat, traditional Malay dance, Indian dance, and the Bamboo dance. Participants also had the opportunity to learn how to make tosei. The day concluded with a photo session and a visit to various booths, providing a rich and engaging cultural experience for all YPC and LJMU students.
Lastly, for the YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024 22 August 2024 educational trip, students visited the Wishing Tree and Redang Beach. The objective of the trip was to explore local cultural and natural landmarks, enriching students' appreciation of the region's unique heritage and landscapes. The visit offered YPC and LJMU students a chance to engage with local traditions and enjoy the scenic beauty of Sekinchan, contributing to a broader understanding of the area's cultural and environmental significance.
Highlight of the day for Sekinchan educational trip to Sekinchan, YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024, students toured Loji Pengeluaran Benih Padi Haji Md Nor Bin Haji Abd Rahman (M) Sdn Bhd. The primary objective of this visit was to provide students with direct exposure to the rice seed production process, the latest technologies in agriculture, and the management and operational aspects of the factory. Additionally, the visit aimed to enhance YPC and LJMU students' understanding of the vital role agriculture plays in the national economy.
On August 22, as part of the YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024 activities, students embarked on a visit to a major rice producing village at the outskirts of Selangor. The first stop was the Paddy Gallery, where participants explored the rice farming industry and its significance in the region. The objective of the trip was to provide students with a hands-on learning experience about agriculture, particularly rice cultivation, and to deepen their understanding of its role in the local economy and culture. The visit to the Paddy Gallery offered YPC and LJMU students valuable insights into the traditional and modern practices of rice farming, fostering a greater appreciation for agricultural practices and regional heritage. It also allowed students to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, enhancing their educational experience through practical exposure.
Another interesting activity as part of the YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024 was an engaging International Business Project unfolded in several dynamic stages. In Stage 1, students from YPC International College tackled the task of selecting a Malaysian brand and presenting a detailed SWOT analysis. In Stage 2, LJMU International students chose a product they planned to purchase and explained their rationale behind the choice. Stage 3 saw these students identifying a comparable product line from a UK brand that matched the Malaysian product line presented by their YPC counterparts. Finally, in Stage 4, YPC International College students researched UK brands offering similar products to those of the Malaysian company they had initially analyzed. This multi-stage project provided a rich, comparative exploration of international business strategies and brand analysis. This is a golden opportunity for YPC and LJMU students which can developed global networks for future works and business endeavor.
On 21 August 2024, as part of the YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024, a visit to Victoria Institution began with an opening ceremony that featured a welcome speech, a corporate video presentation, an overview of the Malaysian education system, and a brief history of the school. Participants then embarked on a guided tour of the school in groups, led by VI students. The group later gathered at the Form 6 Block for a series of engaging cultural activities, including explorations of local cuisine, art, language, music, and traditional games. The visit concluded with a memorable closing ceremony, which featured a vibrant dance performance and a sumptuous feast, providing a fitting end to a day filled with cultural exchange and learning. Additionally, Form 6 students from Victoria Institution showcased their projects, and YPC and LJMU students had the opportunity to eat Durian, known as the King of Fruits, and experience English language teaching. International students found the teaching method particularly interesting and appreciated its unique approach.
Participants gathered at SMK Maxwell for a memorable visit as part of the YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024. The event began with the arrival of the LJMU participants, followed by the singing of the national anthem, "Negaraku," "Maju Sejahtera," and the school song, as well as a prayer reading and a welcoming dance. These activities were designed to encourage international students to learn about Malaysia’s diverse culture. The Principal of SMK Maxwell delivered a warm welcome speech, and souvenirs were exchanged before a group photo session. The day continued with a series of engaging activities, including cultural dance performances such as Tarian Zapin, where students had the chance to learn the dance, East Malaysian dance, a game of Galah Panjang, and a showcase of PSV (Visual Arts). The visit concluded with a relaxing Teh Tarik session, providing YPC and LJMU students with an opportunity for informal interactions and reflections on the day's experiences.
The Majlis Jalinan Budaya SMK Taman Seraya, held in conjunction with the YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024, commenced with an opening ceremony. The event featured a range of activities, including silat, speeches by the school principal and the YPC principal, and the exchange of souvenirs. Highlights of the event focused on Batik Canting and Sustainability in Education. The program also showcased a Malaysian cultural performance that included Malay Zapin Johor, Chinese Fan Dance, Chinese Lion Dance, Indian Stick Dance (Dandiya), and Silat. YPC and LJMU students enjoyed tastings of various Malaysian favorite dishes such as satay, mooncake, masak lemak, and dodol. Traditional games like congkak and "baling selipar" were also played.
Last activity for first day for the YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024, participants embarked on a fascinating cultural visit to explore Complex Craft, delving into the intricate world of traditional and contemporary craftsmanship. This visit included an interactive activity where attendees engaged in copper tooling, creating custom designs of iconic landmarks such as KLCC and the YPC International College logo as mementos. This hands-on experience allowed YPC and LJMU students to witness the meticulous techniques of copper tooling while crafting personalized souvenirs that celebrated their summer school journey. Through observing skilled artisans and engaging in this creative process, both LJMU & YPC students gained a deeper appreciation of artisanal skills and cultural heritage.
Next, participants of YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024 had the chance to get hands-on with classic Malaysian games and activities, including Congkak, Batu Seremban, Ceper, and Henna Drawing. Through interactive sessions, attendees engaged with these traditional games and artistic practices, gaining insight into Malaysia's cultural heritage. YPC and LJMU students enjoyed learning the strategies and skills behind Congkak, a strategic board game; Batu Seremban, a game involving small stones or beans; Ceper, a traditional game with unique rules; and the intricate art of Henna drawing, creating beautiful and symbolic designs. This immersive experience fostered a deeper appreciation for Malaysian culture and traditions.
Students immersed themselves in the art of preparing delicious local delicacies, delving into the rich culinary traditions of various cultures at the YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024. Participants had the opportunity to engage in hands-on cooking sessions featuring a diverse menu, including Kuih Buah Melaka—sweet, sticky rice cakes filled with palm sugar and coated in grated coconut; Roti Jala—delicate lace-like crepes served with savory curries; Anyam Ketupat—traditional rice cakes wrapped in woven palm leaves; and Mooncake—classic pastries with sweet or savory fillings enjoyed during cultural celebrations. Through these interactive demonstrations, both YPC & LJMU students refined their skills in crafting authentic dishes and gained a deeper appreciation for global cuisine and the cultural stories behind each recipe.
Featured a vibrant Multicultural Summer School Vlog Workshop for the YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024, which captured the diverse and dynamic experiences of participants throughout the program. (Add regarding workshop) The vlog highlighted the rich cultural exchanges, collaborative projects, and unique personal stories shared among attendees. Through a series of engaging videos, the vlog showcased the variety of activities and interactions that defined the summer school, offering an insightful glimpse into the global community and the shared journey of learning and growth.
The YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024 was inaugurated with an Opening Ceremony & Ice Breaker designed to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all participants. The session aimed to introduce attendees to the program and its goals, facilitate connections among the diverse group through engaging ice breaker activities, outline key objectives and expectations, and establish a supportive environment that encouraged open communication and collaboration. Through this event, a positive and cohesive tone for the summer school experience was set, ensuring an inspiring and memorable journey for everyone involved.
The Honor of Kings Game Tournament hold simultaneously with YPC Get Together in conjunction with YPC-LJMU International Summer School 2024 activities, took place from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The event, held both at the Auditorium on Level 10 of YPC International College and online, provided an exhilarating gaming experience where participants showcased their strategic skills. Attendees enjoyed game booths and competed for impressive prizes: RM300 for the 1st prize, RM200 for the 2nd, and RM100 for the 3rd. The tournament proved to be a highlight of the year, offering both competitive and casual gaming opportunities to the community. On August 17th, 2024, YPC International College hosted a memorable Get Together event from 12 pm to 5 pm on Levels 9 and 10. The event welcomed parents, alumni, students, and community members to share stories, forge new friendships, and create lasting memories. Attendees enjoyed a variety of activities including an alumni session with YPC-LJMU, opportunities for parents to make inquiries, an open dialogue with Gen Z, and a personality and occupation test. Lunch was provided, making the day both engaging and enjoyable for all participants.
Our student from the Foundation in Business (FBZ) programme , Livina Sree, has recently returned from SUKMA 21 with a remarkable achievement. A Bronze Medal in Karate has been awarded to Livina, highlighting her exceptional skill and unwavering determination. The accomplishment reflects her hard work and dedication in the sport. Lets continue to cheer and support her for all her future competitions.
A Surplus Collection and Distribution event was conducted under Community Project. The event involved 10 BEM students and 2 supervisors, and was carried out in collaboration with Kechara. A briefing and mini tour at Kechara Food Bank in Setapak Jaya were provided. Surplus was collected from Lotus Bukit Puchong, Aeon Wangsa Maju, and QL Kitchen Sdn Bhd, and was distributed to registered homes and societies under Kechara, including Pertubuhan Kebajikan Thangam Ilham, Second Chance Shelter Home, Pertubuhan Kesihatan dan Kebajikan Umum Malaysia, and Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak WP. The surplus was given to homeless individuals, children, and elderly people who are in need of additional community support.

During his visit, he engaged with students and faculty, sharing his valuable insights on business education and the latest trends in the industry. The YPC-LJMU Graduation Ceremony for degree students took place on July 28, 2024, at the prestigious Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), celebrating the outstanding achievements of the graduating class. The event brought together degree graduates, faculty members, families, and distinguished guests to honor the dedication and hard work of those who successfully completed their studies. With a stunning venue and a well-curated program, the ceremony marked a significant milestone for the graduates, celebrating their academic success and the beginning of their next exciting chapter in both their professional careers and further education.
The YPC Graduation Ceremony for diploma level students took place on July 28, 2024, at the iconic Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), celebrating the academic achievements of the graduating class. On Saturday, 20th July 2024, students from YPC International College embarked on a field trip to Zoo Negara with children from the Baitus Sakinah Hidayah orphanage. The primary objectives of this trip were to improve social skills and foster a love for animals among the participants. Throughout the day, students and children alike engaged in various activities designed to encourage interaction and cooperation. By exploring the diverse animal exhibits together, they had the opportunity to learn about wildlife and conservation, which was intended to deepen their appreciation for the natural world. The experience also aimed to enhance the participants' social skills through shared experiences and collaborative learning. In addition, the trip provided a platform for students from both institutions to build meaningful connections, promoting empathy and understanding across different backgrounds. An academic enhancement program was conducted by YPC International College with SMK Taman Seraya on 20th July 2024, as part of the Bengkel SPM 2024 initiative. The primary objective of this program was to provide targeted support and resources to students preparing for their SPM examinations. The session was designed to address various academic needs by offering intensive workshops and interactive learning activities. These included revision sessions on key subjects, practice exercises, and guidance on effective study strategies. The aim was to boost students’ understanding of the curriculum, improve their examination skills, and enhance their overall academic performance. In addition to the academic focus, the program sought to foster a collaborative learning environment. By working together with peers and educators, students had the opportunity to discuss challenging topics, share insights, and gain motivation. The engagement also aimed to build students' confidence and reduce exam-related stress through practical advice and support. YPC International College students chose to deliver a presentation on AI, focusing on three key areas: the evolution of AI and its global impact, AI tools, and ethical considerations for AI users. The aim of this project is to raise awareness among school students about AI. This project involved 66 students from Form 4 and 9 students from BEM. During the presentation, students engaged in activities such as Word Search, comparing AI-generated images with original images to find similarities and brainstorming sessions.

Similarly, the Valorant competition highlighted the tactical prowess and teamwork of the competing teams, showcasing their ability to execute complex strategies under pressure. The OSU! competition added a unique rhythmic challenge to the mix, engaging players in a demanding test of precision and endurance. Each of these competitions offered a distinct experience, allowing players to exhibit their skills in different aspects of gaming and providing audiences with a range of thrilling and dynamic performances.

On Saturday, 29th June 2024, students visited the Orphanage Rainbow Home in Cheras. During the visit, the students successfully arranged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Marryyap Delicious Kitchen and GC Hair Study. Under the terms of the agreement, both companies committed to providing monthly sponsorships to Rainbow Home Orphanage for one year. This partnership aims to support the orphanage with consistent resources, contributing to the well-being and development of the children residing there.
