Aug 2024 - Our team had the pleasure of visiting three YPC International College BAF internship students at Baker Tilly, Centerfiels Business Solutions, and YYC & Co. We witnessed firsthand their exceptional commitment and dedication to their roles and tasks, as highlighted through their presentations and discussions with industrial supervisors.

The industrial visit week also allowed us to reconnect with two of our successful alumni, showcasing the profound impact our Accounting and Finance program has had on their professional journeys. Both alumni made impressive transitions from internship positions to associate roles. Angeliena, our top student of 2024, excelled at Baker Tilly, while Jun Tian is making significant strides at YYC & Co.

Excitingly, the companies we visited expressed enthusiasm for future collaborations. We look forward to deepening our engagement with these dynamic organizations and exploring new opportunities together.

On 27th August 2024, our team visited Chin Yee, BSc (Hons) E-Business Technology and Management (BEM) student, while she was interning while she was interning at Zenyum Malaysia as a Regional Consumer Product E-Commerce. Zenyum, a company based in Singapore, provided a diverse range of tasks and opportunities for Chin Yee during her internship, including; Hong Kong Market Support, Customer Service, Livestream Coordination, Content Creation, Regional Operation Management, Data Entry and Report Generation.

Positive feedback was received from her supervisor, Ms. Dah Hong, who highlighted Chin Yee's rapid learning abilities and dedication. Additionally, valuable insights into website management, including both front-end and back-end operations, were gained by her.

More students from YPC International College are expected to be welcomed in the future.

On September 4, 2024, our team had the opportunity to visit Nur Murshida Hanani Binti Abdul Halim, a BSc (Hons) E-Business Technology and Management (BEM) student, during her internship at Cybersecurity Malaysia as a Project Management intern with the Malaysia Security Evaluation Facility (MySEF). Under the guidance of Encik Ahmad Hisyamuddin, she was involved in a variety of tasks, including evaluating ICT products and systems, writing articles, and participating in pitching sessions.

Her supervisor provided positive feedback, noting Murshida's quick learning and commitment. Her strong English skills made her an excellent candidate for article production.

Following the completion of her internship, she has joined the Quality team for cybersecurity.

On August 30, 2024, we had the opportunity to visit Wong Jing Haw, a BSc. (Hons) Multimedia Computing (BMC) student, he intern as a Software Engineering intern at Metasense Vision Sdn Bhd. During his time there, he worked on a variety of tasks, including developing and maintaining desktop applications using C#, C++, and Python. He also conducted research for the library and deployed software while learning about basic AI and computer vision for specific applications. Additionally, he gained an understanding of 3D image processing and point clouds using Open3D, which he applied in defect testing during production.

His supervisor shared positive feedback, highlighting Jing Haw's quick learning ability and dedication. He was able to conduct research library even though it was a new area for him. His foundational knowledge of C programming also proved to be an asset during his internship.

On August 30, 2024, our team visited Jamillah, a BSc (Hons) Multimedia Computing BMC student currently interning in the digital marketing department at DKSH. Jamillah's responsibilities include executing e-commerce strategies and campaigns on the LabShop online platform. She coordinated with internal stakeholders to gather the necessary information and materials for project execution, updated web content and images, conducted user acceptance testing (UAT) on system functionalities, and verified tasks completed by developers. Additionally, she participated in project learning related to e-commerce UI/UX using Figma.

According to her supervisor, she was described as a fast learner who quickly grasped new concepts. Additionally, the opportunity to work in other departments for a broader understanding of e-commerce and IT would be provided to her.

On October 22, 2024, our team had the opportunity to visit Soh Chi Shan, a BSc (Hons) Business Management (BSBM) student, during her internship at Boss Boleh as a Company Secretary intern. The industry supervisor, Ms. Nyaw Xin Yee, provided positive feedback on Soh Chi Shan’s performance. She specifically praised Soh Chi Shan’s proactive approach to complete tasks. For instance, she mentioned that Soh Chi Shan is a fast learner who consistently conducts research and completes tasks on time. This has positively impacted the team’s progress. The environment appears to be supportive of her learning and professional development. Overall, Ms. Nyaw Xin Yee expressed high satisfaction with Soh Chi Shan’s contributions.

On October 15, 2024, our team had the opportunity to visit Sainishaa, a BSc (Hons) Business Management (BSBM) student, during her internship at Exact Asia Development Centre as a HR Department intern. The industry supervisor, Ms. Meenakshi Devi A/P Selvanayagam, provided positive feedback on Sainishaa's performance. She particularly praised Sainishaa's abilities and proactive approach in taking on challenges. For instance, she highlighted Sainishaa's strong organizational skills and attention to detail, which have positively impacted the team’s progress. Overall, Ms. Meenakshi expressed high satisfaction with Sainishaa's contributions.
